Fearnley Davies demonstrates sheep shearing.

Fearnley Davies has a life time of exerience with sheep. He moved to Canada from Somerset, England, and has gained the reputation of being an expert on sheep husbandry, training sheep dogs and shearing sheep. He gave a demonstration of sheep shearing at the 2012 O'Hara Mill Heritage Day. Many fibre artists use wool for spinning, weaving,  knitting and rug making.

Farmtown Park Fibre Fest

The first Fibre Fest at Farmtown Park on July 29, 2012 attracted around 35 fibre artists from Quinte adn Northumberland. Plans are going ahead for another Fibre Fest in 2013

Fibre Fest brings hookers to Heritage Village

The street in Heritage Village was lined with spinners, weavers, knitters and even a few hookers last weekend as Farmtown Park took a close look at the fabric of a community.
