Collecting memories and sharing them is the first step to learning about rural life and the skills that make our agricultural heritage successful. Learn and then dive in and try it yourself be it making bread, rearing chickens, making hay  or knitting socks.


Stories from the land

Dr. Jennifer Davis collected stories from 20 people in this area who live close to the land. This was part of her research for her doctorate at Queens University in the Department of Education.  She is on the steering group of the Growing Our Heritage project. This short video highlights some of the stories she was told.




Jack Rushnell is very knowledgeable about machinery and knows a great deal about tractors.
