PERCY REID
Percy began farming in 1940 concentrating on dairy farming until his retirement in 1970. He and his wife Doreen retired to live in Stirling.
He was a Director of Rylstone Butter and Cheese Company for 15 years and a Director of the United Co-operative Campbellford for 20 years, serving 4 years as Chairman.
Percy served as Chairman for 2 terms and as a Director for 14 years on the Hastings County Milk Marketing Board.
He chaired the Quinte Farm Labour Pool for 4 years and spent several years as a Director.
Percy is a member of the Stirling Fair Board a member of the Stirling Agricultural Museum.
When the International Plowing Match was held in Hastings County in 1986, Percy was Vice-President.
Percy was a Director/Adjuster of the Bay of Quinte Agricultural Insurance Company for 24 years, serving as President for 2 terms.
