JACK DUNHAM
1923-2006
Jack owned and operated the family farm in Rawdon Township, Hastings County.
He was an active member of the Junior Farmers, holding offices in the organization including President and Provincial Representative.
Jack was very active in the Wellman’s United Church, a Director of Plum Grove Cheese Factory and a ready volunteer to support many causes in his rural community.
He was involved when the International Plowing Match came to Rawdon Township with the Promotion Committee and following its success he became Secretary-Treasurer of the Hastings County Ploughmans Association and was active for many years in the success of the local event.
Jack was equally enthusiastic about the Hastings County Museum of Agriculture Heritage, was a Charter Member and eager to promote its growth as a tour guide and explain the many facets of agriculture to visitors. He may have moved from the farm, but the love of the farm and the people who operated them was always near and dear to his heart.
Jack, in his own quiet way, was always available to support community activities.
