KEN WRIGHT
Mr. Wright and his wife Carrolle, owned and operated a dairy farm in Hillier in Prince Edward County for over 30 years. The farm included a milking operation with 55 cows and a cropping program of more than 500 acres. Ken participated in 4-H and Junior Farmer programs. While attending university, Ken worked two summers as Assistant Agricultural Representative in Prince Edward and following graduation worked one year as Assistant Ag. Rep. in Renfrew County. In 1977 Ken bought out the farm partnership from his father. He taught night school classes in farm management and lectured to farmers and bank managers on credit and lending problems. Ken was a 4-H leader for 10 years, a Director of the
Prince Edward Soil & Crop Association, served on the Farm Debt Review Board, was a member of the Farm Credit Corporation Loan & Appeal Board, was a member of the Ontario Institute of Agrologists and served as the Quinte Branch President. Ken served on the initial Governance Board for "Taste of the County", the Prince Edward Environmental Advisory Board, and is an active member of Wellington United Church.
